Anti-neuroinflammatory constituents from Sinomenium acutum rhizomes

چکیده
In our continuing search for bioactive constituents from Korean medicinal sources, an investigation of the Sinomenium acutum Rehder et Wilson rhizome afforded three new lignan derivatives (1–3) together with nine known compounds (4–12). The identification and structural elucidation of these new compounds were based on 1D and 2D-NMR (COSY, HMQC, HMBC and NOESY) and MS data. The absolute configurations were established based on the CD data. Nitric oxide production was evaluated in the BV-2 lipopolysaccharide-activated microglia cell line to investigate the anti-neuroinflammatory effects of the isolated compounds (1–12). ã 2016 Phytochemical Society of Europe. Lignan glucosides from Sinomenium acutum rhizomes.
The new lignan glucoside, acutumoside (1), was isolated from Sinomenium acutum rhizomes together with nine known compounds (2-10). The structure of 1 was elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses, including two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance and chemical reactions. Compounds 2, 7, 8, and 10 displayed potential antiproliferative activity against A549, SK-OV-3, SK-MEL-2,...
متن کاملVascular Pharmacology of Mokuboito (Mu-Fang-Yi-Tang) and Its Constituents on the Smooth Muscle and the Endothelium in Rat Aorta
Pharmacological actions of Mokuboito and its constituents (Sinomenium acutum and sinomenine) on rat aorta were examined. Mokuboito and S. acutum at lower concentrations (0.03-1 mg ml(-1)) contracted the non-loaded aorta, but at higher concentrations (1-3 mg ml(-1)), reversed to dilate it. The vasoconstriction was blocked by phentolamine (10 muM). Sinomenine failed to exhibit the vasoconstrictio...
متن کاملComparative pharmacokinetics study of sinomenine in rats after oral administration of sinomenine monomer and Sinomenium acutum extract.
Various products containing sinomenine monomer and extracts of Sinomenium acutum have been widely applied in clinical treatments. The goal of the present study was to compare the pharmacokinetics of sinomenine in rats after oral administration of sinomenine monomer and Sinomenium acutum extract, and to attempt to explore potential component-component interactions between the constituents of thi...

متن کاملEffects of Sinomenine on the Expression of microRNA-155 in 2,4,6-Trinitrobenzenesulfonic Acid-Induced Colitis in Mice
BACKGROUND Sinomenine, a pure alkaloid isolated in Chinese medicine from the root of Sinomenium acutum, has been demonstrated to have anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are gradually being recognized as critical mediators of disease pathogenesis via coordinated regulation of molecular effector pathways. METHODOLOGY/FINDINGS After colitis was induced in mice by...
